There are 2 more of these cuties available in my shop ...

Have a great day!

Fun New Fabric Scraps

I posted on another blog that I read that I was looking for some fresh new (to me) fabric scraps to add to one of my mom's scrap quilts that she started.

She made a lot of progress sewing strips of fabric together for a scrap quilt, but I still have a lot of work to get it finished ...

A fellow reader offered to send some to me, and not long later, this pile of fabric strips came in my mailbox!

This pile of scraps is on its way to her in exchange ... to be used in some doll quilts that she is making.

Thanks, Karen!

Ridiculous ...

Would it be altogether
ridiculous

if I
... a beginner knitter ...

attempted to make one of these?

Because I might be slightly in love with this scarf.

My Friend Heather ...

In my last post, I mentioned my sweet friend Heather ...

Well, I think you guys should be formally introduced.

Some of you already know her, but for the rest of you ...

Heather is a cool chick.
She is an amazing mother of three (soon to be four, within 10 days!) beautiful children,
a godly wife, and a dear friend.
She's the kind of person who is constantly encouraging those around her.
She's also super-talented with a sewing machine.
In fact, she's the person who inspired me to open my etsy shop.
You should head on over to her little shop and take a look around.

She has so much fun stuff ... baby gifts, photography, jewelry designed by her sister Sarah.

I mean ... could you get any cuter than this?
SUSHI!!

Or this?

And how about this?

Aren't you jealous that she's my friend?
Well ... go on over to her shop ... you can be her friend, too!

Special Edition Coffee Cozy

My fun friend Heather
had some leftover French Wallpaper fabric by Amy Butler,
and she was so sweet to offer it to me.

Of course, I couldn't turn it down ... it's just too darn pretty!

So I decided to make a
Special Edition Coffee Cozy
for my shop.

This cozy qualifies for a donation to the Charleston Breast Center.

So hurry on over and pick it up ... I only have enough to make 4 of them,
and I reserve the right to keep one of those four for myself.
:o)

Fun New Items for the Shop

Hi!

Just wanted to update everyone ...

I just purchased a license to sell
these shoes
in my shop.

I worked on more color combinations this weekend ... so much fun!

SO ...
I can now accept custom orders for them,
and I'll be posting some to my shop SOON ... in all sorts of fun colors!
(hopefully on Wednesday)

Yay!

Another Overseas Order!

I've never been to The Netherlands,
but - as I type - one of my bags and one of my cozies
are both on their way over the ocean to their new home there!

I have to admit I am a bit jealous.
Just the thought of the beautiful tulip fields over there makes my heart skip a beat!

I heart tulips.
RED tulips, specifically.

But enough about me ...
Congratulations to that lucky bag & cozy who get to travel the world without me.
(Wish I could have delivered them in person.)

I hope that Myrthe loves her new reusable shopping bag and matching SPECIAL EDITION cozy, designed and made just for her!

Fun New Table Runner

Before Christmas, I started a new runner for my dining room table.

Seven months later (!), I finally finished it!

It's supposed to be for the holidays,
but I have it on my table now, because I love the aqua in it.

What do you think?

I Won, I Won!!!

Not to brag, or anything ...
... but I won a giveaway!

A really COOL giveaway!

OK ... I might be bragging just a little.

But, I can't help it!
Just LOOK at it!

Here is how it arrived in the mail :
Fun triangular box!
Even more fun when I opened it, and found out it was (or used to be) ...

... a RITZ box!!!
I want to learn how to do this!

It was all wrapped up in fun purple tissue
with a cool Thank You sticker.
I love the packaging!

But I love the gift even more ...

It's a fun zipper pouch!!
Look at the cool mermaid fabric on the outside!
I love this Heather Ross design.
Inside, there are little blue and orange seahorses.

Thanks Alecia!!!
(if you haven't already, go visit Alecia's shop ... she has super-fun stuff!)

So ... now, my only dilemma is ...

... what should I put in it???

Any ideas?

The Shoe Factory

I feel like I work in a shoe factory.

Seriously ...
I can't stop making them.

I finish one pair,
and feel a compulsion to start another.

I dream of different color combinations.

This one reminds me of oreos.
Ha!

This is my current favorite ...
Love the buttery yellow.

Next up : brown & green

... or maybe brown & aqua
... or red & aqua
... or maybe purple.

Somebody please stop me!!

On Their Way to Hungary ...

I had my first international order last week!

It was an order from an American friend of mine who is currently living in Hungary.
That counts as international, right?

Apparently, in Hungary, grocery stores CHARGE you for bags, unless you bring your own.
(wow.)
So, Becky ordered a set of three reusable bags,
customized with fun pockets on the inside ...

I love this fabric combination ... lots of other people do, too!
So much so that I've SOLD OUT of all my cozies in these fabrics,
and only have ONE bag left in the shop!
(woohoo!)

I should probably think about re-ordering some yardage, huh?

Here they all are ... all wrapped up and ready to go!
Such fun, pretty colors!

I hope you enjoy your bags, Becky!
