My friend Carmen recently had her first baby ... a son.
I'm so so happy for her and her husband Frank!

it seems like forever ago that I was helping her with her nursery!
To welcome Alex into the world, I made him a blanket.
It's made from two layers of light-weight flannel
with a crochet border around the edges.
The front has a nursery rhyme toile pattern,
and the back has fun blue and white stripes.
I made a similar one in pink for another friend of mine last year ... do you remember it?
